A collaborative and creative leader, Andy brings to AJS Consulting more than 15 years of experience leading fast-paced marketing and communications teams. Andy is adept at distilling complex products and services into cohesive messages while bringing to life an organization’s mission, vision, and values. He is recognized for strong communication skills, trusted relationships, and helping individuals and teams reach their highest potential with a focus on accountability and performance. Andy builds trust and connection across all levels of an organization through transparency, radical candor, and a positive, anything-is-possible attitude.
In addition to his consulting services, Andy is the founder and Co-CEO of iddeate.org, a nonprofit that connects adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to funding for high-quality service providers, vendors, and resources that meaningfully impact their lives.
Andy has led marketing teams in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors ranging from $2M to $350M in annual revenue. While the bulk of his experience is with social impact organizations, he’s also provided consultation in retail, food and beverage, engineering, and outdoor industries.
Of all Andy’s accomplishments, he is most proud of his work to integrate the marketing and sales functions at Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, an international accrediting body created to meet accreditation needs specific to the delivery of behavior analysis. Andy led the implementation of a multi-channel digital marketing strategy generating a 50% increase in year-over-year sales.
Andy is an advocate for the community of more than 7 million adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities and is passionate about opportunities to help them thrive. He is also a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in El Paso County, Colorado where he strives to bring positive change to the life of a vulnerable child.
Andy was born and raised in Indiana where he earned his B.A. in Communications at Purdue University. He currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife, Ashley, and dog, Winston, and has called Colorado home for more than ten years. Outside of work, Andy enjoys woodworking, cycling, camping, and skiing.
