Mission

AJS has partnered with several organizations over the years on “Brick” projects. The goal of a “Brick” project is to allow individuals only capable of a $100 or $250 donation to participate in a meaningful way that also allows them to have a personalized item be part of the façade or grounds at a non-profit they want to show their support for.

The Details

Often when a non-profit is focusing on a building renovation or purchase, or a grounds renovation or beautification project, the emphasis is on large donors.  While large donors are necessary at the beginning of a campaign to ensure the project is viable, when focusing on the possibilities for smaller donors as the project nears completion, Bricks or Tiles are an excellent option.

Various past clients have used Bricks or Tiles for this type of fundraiser with great success.

  • The Vanguard School – raised over $50,000 in bricks plus sponsored benches and trees as part of a campus beautification project
  • Cottonwood Center for the Arts – raised almost $50,000 in bricks with some additional name options as part of their alleyway renovation project
  • The Norris Penrose Legacy Foundation – raised about $20,000 in tiles showcased on the wall at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo facilities (the US’s third largest professional rodeo)
  • The Black Forrest Community Church – raised nearly $10,000 in bricks and helped to decorate their gardens

All of these organization focused on having small bricks/tiles sponsored for $100 and larger ones for $250.  This allowed individuals who were not capable of large gifts to still show their support in a meaningful way.  And this type of fundraiser is a wonderful example of how many small gifts can help to create something beautiful.
